1. Double-click the My Computer icon

2. Double-click the Dial-Up Networking folder.

3. Click once on the AICS/BICnet icon.

4. From the File menu choose Properties.

5. Make sure there is a check mark in the Use area code and Dialing Properties.
Erase the current phone number and enter the appropriate local phone number.
Click the Server Types tab. If you do not have a Server Types tab, there will be a Server Types button near the bottom of the window.

6. Make sure that your screen has the same items check marked as the screen above.
Click the TCP/IP Settings button.

7. Make sure that the settings above match yours.

8. Click OK until you are back to the Dial-Up Networking window.

9. Double-click the AICS-BICnet icon.

10. Dial Properties button.

11. Make sure that the Area code matches your Area code.
If you have Call Waiting put a check mark in the To disable call waiting dial check box and select *70, from the drop down menu.
If you live in Massachusetts click the Area Code Rules... button.

12. Put a check mark in the Always dial the area code (10-digit dialing)

13. Click OK until you get back to the Connect to screen.

14. If you live in Massachusetts make sure that the phone number has the area code. Modify the username so that it has either "@bicnet.net" or "@aics.net" or "@rclink.net" after the username, as shown above.

15. Click Connect and enjoy the Internet :)
